Swiss national coach Murat Yakin has named a 38-man preliminary squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament in Germany. The squad includes several key players from the team's successful World Cup campaign in Qatar, including captain Granit Xhaka and goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
Narrowed Down to 26 in June
Yakin will have until June to reduce the squad to 26 players for the final tournament. Switzerland will play in Group A at Euro 2024, alongside Hungary, Scotland, and the Czech Republic. The Swiss will be looking to improve on their performance at Euro 2020, where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Spain.
